I woke and turned to the window to see red in the sky
it wasn’t an alarming red, it was soft it was soothing, reminded me of the root chakra.
However, it’s the rise of a new day
So excited to see more colors in the sky,
I got ready & travel to see more of you
I went West and I saw water & ducks,
I went North & I saw more water
& expensive houses
I left to go back home & realized you
were where I needed to be from the beginning
I was already facing East, seeing all the pretty colors.
Oh Sunrise, a journey I went through to see more of you
When I have enough of you & 1st row to see you.

Thank you for letting me see your colors
Thank you for a new day
I learn there’s no need to chase the sunrise
because I rise with the sun & I have the beautiful colors in me & shown to me.
